SPORTS MINISTRY REFUNDS $4,600 TO JOHN MIKEL OBI
The Nigerian ministry of sports has reportedly refunded $4,600 to dream team captain Mikel Obi after he parted with his personal money to save the team from a crisis.
The dream team VI were due to travel to Salvador to play their match and were stranded but Mikel came to the rescue and paid the money required for them to be airlifted.
The sports ministry in a shambolic PR move had earlier denied the reports that Mikel had paid for the team to travel when the story broke.
They have now towed a different line by confirming that the money has been refunded and they are grateful for the gesture.
Mr. Chinyeaka Ohaa the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of sports who represented the Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, poured encomiums on the team and stated that everyone is proud of them.
The dream team went on to defeat Denmark by 2 un-replied goals after this latest show of incompetence in a long line of misdeeds by the sports ministry.
